Approved Water Capture System
These systems come complete with everything shown below
The Vacu-Boom system is engineered to be applied in a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications where wash water containment system is used so that chemicals and fluid waste can be contained and/or captured and removed from the site.
The Vacu-Boom is a hollow, flexible tube five inches in diameter that is placed directly on a hard surface to form a down slope side dam or to completely encircle the wash or containment area. The boom has a C shaped cross section with the open side down. There are small liquid inlet openings on the water side of the boom at the bottom edge. During use, the boom is connected by a 25 ft. vacuum hose to the portable wet vacuum recovery unit.
Benefits and features of the Vacu-Boom:
An innovative and practical wash water containment system to prevent
run-off
from
washing operations indoors and outdoors.
A highly effective spill containment system for many hazardous materials.
When the wet vac system is turned on, the Vacu-Boom tightly seals itself to the surface like a giant suction cup, to form an impervious liquid barrier. Simultaneously, the waste water or other liquid is extracted into the boom and travels with the airflow through the boom and vacuum hose into the sump of the vacuum unit. The vacuum unit is equipped with an automatic pump out system which discharges water through a discharge hose into a holding tank, filter unit or sanitary sewer. Secondary pump will discharge on it's own when liquid reaches 2/3 of the tanks capacity.
When containing highly toxic materials or flammable liquids that should not be drawn into the vacuum unit, the vacuum is used only to create a tight seal between the boom and the surface. The liquid is not extracted through the boom and vacuum.
Wash water containment system is available in virtually any length or shape using standard components. Examples are straight lines, arcs or semicircles, full circles, ellipses, squares and rectangles. Contact us for more information.
Shipping Dimensions: 26"W x 19"L x 39"H. The vacuum is 63 lbs, 20 lbs for the boom, 27 lbs for the hoses and 5 lbs for parts.

Where can I use this wash water containment system:
EPA laws prohibit waste water from being discharged onto the ground or storm drains. In most cases the wastewater is collected at the job site and subsequently discharged into a sanitary sewer connection (wash sinks, toilets, etc. that are connected to a sewage treatment plant). The level of contaminants must be below certain limits for sanitary sewer discharge. If the contaminants are too high, the wastewater must first be pre-treated before sanitary sewer discharge. Our Vacu-Boom offers an economical filter system for use with the Vacu-Boom system when necessary. Contact our Application Engineering Department for information.

What does CFM mean?
CFM is the maximum volume of airflow measured in Cubic Feet Per Minute. Maximum CFM ratings occur when the vacuum system is operating without restrictions to airflow.
The parking lot that I need to work on is flat. Do I need to have the boom go all the way around a truck or vehicle?
All outdoor paved areas are made with at least a slight slope for rainwater drainage even though they may look flat to the eye. A 20 ft. or 40 ft boom on the down slope side is the way to do it.
Can I leave the vac unit up in my truck to operate the boom down on the surface?
No. For proper operation the vac recovery unit must be at or below (down slope) the elevation of the boom.
What are the power requirements for operating the Vacu-Boom system?
Small vac unit (for booms up to 25 ft. long): 10.5 amps/120 volt
Large vac unit: 17 amps/120 volt
Does the Vacu-Boom meet all EPA requirements?
Yes. EPA laws are enforced at state and local levels and this system has been widely accepted by regulators throughout all 50 states and most foreign countries to include Australia, Canada, Europe and Japan.
How much wastewater will the system pick up?
A 20 ft. system or a 40 ft. system will extract all wastewater generated up to 10 GPM. Much higher extraction rates are possible. Contact UltimateWasher at Toll Free 866-858-4982 for more information.
What are the power requirements for operating the Vacu-Boom system?
